Sometimes the best things come from the very things we don't like. I was eager to try mochi ice cream, but after tasting it, I didn't quite like it. So, I had to think of a way to use it instead of discarding it. Mochi ice cream it turns out, makes a very delicious smoothie.

Ingredients


5 Single Mochis

3 Very Ripe Frozen Bananas

1 Cup Mixed Nuts (Cashew, Almond, Peanut, Pistachio & Pecan)

1 Tsp. Cinnamon

1 Tsp. Vanilla Flavor




Directions


Preparing my Mochi Banana Nut Smoothie Sub Fix is super easy and quick. Peel your bananas ahead of time and freeze them. I used three very ripe frozen bananas. Add the mochi, bananas, cinnamon, and vanilla to the blender and blend until smooth. I would highly recommend that you soak your nuts as well, overnight, before making your smoothie. I didn't do this in this particular video, however, I enjoy it better when it is smoothest. but if you need crunch, no need to soak the nuts.



This recipe is perfect for any time of day. I find this to be an excellent substitute for me when I am hungry but I don't want anything that I will have to chew. Sometimes I get very tired of chewing solids.
