Kelly’s Tea House was born not just from a love of tea, but from a journey. During travels in Sweden and Denmark, I stepped into tea shops that felt like sanctuaries — filled with herbs, pastries, and an atmosphere of calm that stirred something deep in my soul. I wasn’t an expert in Swedish teas, but I carried home the memory of that ambience.
Back in Jamaica, I remembered my father’s bush teas: cerasee, trumpet leaf, leaf of life — steeped strong, bitter, and healing. I remembered the sweet comfort of soursop, ginger, fevergrass, cocoa with nutmeg, and pastries like gizzada.
This project weaves those threads together: the soul of Jamaica, the cozy inspiration of Scandinavia, and my personal story of discovery.
